Mission
Our mission, it’s simple enough…
• Get to the truth about the allegations against Richard and Lindsay Roberts
• Ask for accountability and transparency for all university leadership.
• Establish a forum for Alumni, Students, Faculty, and Employees of ORU and OREA and the partners of Oral Roberts Ministries to discuss their concerns.
• Provide solutions for the restoration of faith and confidence in Oral Roberts University as an academic institution.
I think that the attention that the University has been receiving because of the Roberts’s indiscretions has actually been good. Just look at all the steps that the University is taking in a posative direction. These are steps that would not have been attempted had these brave professors not directed the flood light in the Roberts’s direction. Even if Richard is reinstated as President, things will be very different.
This website and others like it are saving our alma mater by keeping communication open and available to people on both sides of the lawsuit. Thanks for creating it!
I am praying with the board of regents, and heck with Richard himself. God will bring the evil to light…in all situations. He will deal with it.
My feeling is that people that steal from God might not set out to do this, but with increasingly loose attitude towards the coffers of the ministry, within time, this is exactly what happens. If even half of the allegations turn out to be true, Richard nor his wife nor sister in law (etc) should ever be allowed to be associated with ORU or the ORM again.
I question why ORM is not associated with ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability), and that in fact, the three regents that are the target of the senate investigation, are also not members. This gives me serious concerns about ministries that will not submit themselves to independent certification of their books and business practices.
I pray for the ministry and am sorry that this happened, but there needs to be some housecleaning.
As with the time when there was the scandals with Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart, God’s people will come back even stronger than before. This will be a good thing in the end. I look forward to it.
I believe some of the people blowing the negative aspect of this situation out of proportion are doing more harm than good and should stop before they fall under a curse. This is God’s work!!!
I TOTALLY ENJOY ORU & LINDSEY&RICHARD ROBERTS I HAVE LISTENED TO ORAL FOR DECADES MY GRANDPARENTS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FAMILY WERE FIRM BELIEVERS IN THE WORD I AM A WALKING TALKING MIRACLE IF IT WASN’T FOR PRAYER I WOULD NOT BE HERE I AM A SHUT IN RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF MY ILLNESSES BUT GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL I WATCH RICHARD &LINDSEY ON DAYSTAR AT MIDNIGHT EVERY NIGHT &I AM TRUELY BLESSED BY DAYSTAR &ALL THE CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING AFTER LINDSEY&RICHARD WE ALL NEED TO SUPPORT RICHARD&LINDSEY THEY ARE VERY GOOD GOD FEARING PEOPLE I WAS SO SORRY WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THEIR TROUBLES PLEASE LET THEM CONTINUE DOING ALL THEIR GOOD WORKS GOD BLESS YOU ALL WE NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE THEM ON TV
